We didn’t start with an idea. We started with a real need.
We’re Sergio and Andrea — brothers, colleagues, and engineers.
Spending so much time alongside people working in the field every day, we noticed something obvious: our female colleagues were forced to wear shoes that were oversized, uncomfortable, and impersonal.
It wasn’t just a lack of options. It was a clear sign that the working world still pays too little attention to the real needs of women.
We asked ourselves something straightforward — but hard to ignore.
Why is it that in everyday life, women can find shoes that are stylish, comfortable, and made for them — but not at work?
We spoke with colleagues, observed their routines, and analyzed what was missing:shoes made specifically for them. Comfortable, practical, and with an identity that truly represents them.
So we decided to take action. Not by adjusting existing models.
But by rethinking everything from scratch — to create a shoe truly designed for working women.
Starting off on the right foot.
We began by gathering data, studying the anatomy of the female foot, and working closely with designers and technicians.
We discovered that, compared to the male foot, the difference isn’t just about size — it’s about structure. The female foot has specific characteristics that require a dedicated design:
- a more pronounced arch;
- lower instep;
- narrower forefoot;
- shorter big toe and differently angled toes;
- differently distributed weight.
All elements overlooked by standard models.
We sketched the first drawings, shaped the volumes, and experimented with forms — always with one clear goal:
to create a work shoe that combines safety and fit, without compromising on aesthetics.
Protection and femininity, together as one.
When it came time to name what was taking shape, we wanted something that would speak of protection, but also of female identity.
We combined two words that might seem at odds, but in this project live together in perfect harmony: armor and rose.
That’s how Armoriosa was born — a name that holds strength and grace, function and beauty, technique and care. Two words that together evoke the harmony that should exist between the shoe and the woman who wears it.
It’s a symbol of a new idea of work: where being a woman doesn’t mean choosing between safety, comfort and identity.
100% Italian craftsmanship, genuinely Made in Italy.
Many brands produce in China or Eastern Europe to cut costs—or do only a small part of the work in Italy, just to label their product as Made in Italy.
We chose a different path: we wanted a product that truly embodies the quality, care, and reliability that have made Italian footwear excellence known around the world.
At Armoriosa, design and craftsmanship are 100% Italian.
We use only high-quality materials and rely on the know-how of those who truly understand shoemaking in Italy.
By working closely with expert artisans, we support Italian craftsmanship. Every Armoriosa shoe is the result of a specialized supply chain where technical skill and artisanal care come together to deliver a product that’s reliable, well-built, and made to last.
